Chapter 14 of 21
Program settings
The remaining program settings and how to back them up.
- What it is for
- Adapting the program to the venue and the operator: language, light or dark theme, full-screen clock, a sound when time is up, a background image, a copy of the settings for another computer.
- Who can use it
- Operator in the program. Sound, notifications and background image — PRO features.
- Where to find it
- Settings tab (shortcut F2).
1Settings tab
- 1 Language — program language (changes immediately).
- 2 Theme — Dark or Light.
- 3 Save Settings — saves all fields once more.
- 4 Back — goes back to the Timer tab.
2Full-screen clock
- 1 Time format — 24-hour or 12-hour, with or without seconds.
- 2 Clock Font and 3 Font size.
- 4 Clock text color.
- 5 Full screen clock mode — the speaker screen shows only the time of day instead of the counter.
3Sound
- 1 Play sound when time is up.
- 2 Choose file — your own sound file.
- 3 Test — plays the sound as a test.
4Notifications
- Notifications are the messages in the corner of the program window (e.g. “Trigger added”).
- 1 Close notifications automatically — when off, a message stays until you click it.
- 2 Auto-dismiss time (seconds) — from 1 to 60 seconds.
5Background image
- 1 Enable background image.
- 2 Choose image — a file from disk; 3 preview of the chosen image.
- 4 Separately for each output — Timer window, Web timer (/timer) and NDI output — two switches: Show background and Timer on background. “Timer on background” off = the image alone, without the timer.
- Each output can look different, e.g. timer window: background with the timer, web timer: no background, NDI: the image alone.
- The clock mode (the time on the full screen when no countdown is running) is also shown on the background image; with Timer on background switched off — the image alone.
6Settings backup
- Export to a .timerpro file for backup or sharing.
- 1 Export — saves the settings to a .timerpro file.
- 2 Import — loads settings from a .timerpro file (e.g. on a second computer).
- 3 Reset to defaults — restores the default settings (the program asks for confirmation).
7Performance
- Hardware acceleration (restart required) — draws the clock using the graphics card; the change works after restarting the program.
