Yes! Timer Pro supports multi-display setups. You can show the timer on a secondary screen or projector while controlling it from your main display.

Installation

System Requirements

  • Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
  • 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended)
  • 200 MB free disk space
  • Display resolution 1280x720 or higher

Installation Steps

  1. Download the installer from timerpro.eu
  2. Run the downloaded TimerPRO_Setup.exe file
  3. Follow the installation wizard instructions
  4. Choose installation directory (default is recommended)
  5. Click Install and wait for completion

Basic Setup

First Run

  1. Launch Timer Pro from the Start menu or desktop shortcut
  2. Select your preferred language in Settings
  3. Configure display settings for your setup
  4. Test the timer window on your secondary display

Your First Timer

Creating a Timer

  1. Set the desired time using the time input fields
  2. Choose countdown or count-up mode
  3. Customize colors and appearance if needed
  4. Click Start to begin the timer
  5. Use Pause and Reset controls as needed

Basic Controls

  • Start: Begin or resume the countdown
  • Pause: Temporarily stop the timer
  • Reset: Reset timer to initial value
  • Clock Mode: Display current time instead of timer
Tip: Use keyboard shortcuts for faster control. Press Ctrl+Space to start/stop the timer.

Creating Lectures

  1. Go to the Lectures tab in the main window

  • Prepare an Excel file with columns: Title, Speaker, Duration
  • Click "Import" button in the Lectures tab
  • Select your Excel file (.xlsx)

Web Access

Solutions to common problems and issues with Timer Pro.

Display Issues

Common Display Problems

Check that the display is set to "Extend" mode in Windows Settings. Go to Timer Pro Settings > Display and select the correct monitor. Try clicking "Detect Displays" to refresh the list.
Adjust the font size in Settings > Appearance. For best results, use the "Auto-fit" option which automatically scales the text to fill the display.
Projectors may display colors differently. Test your color settings before the event and adjust the contrast and brightness in Timer Pro appearance settings.

Network Problems

Common Network Issues

Ensure all devices are on the same network. Check Windows Firewall settings - Timer Pro may need permission for network access. Try disabling VPN if enabled.
Check your network connection quality. Reduce the number of connected devices. Ensure you are using a stable WiFi connection or ethernet.
Ensure your mobile device is connected to the same WiFi network as the computer running Timer Pro. Try entering the URL manually if the QR code scan fails.

License Activation

Activation Process

  1. Open Timer Pro and go to Settings > License
  2. Enter your license key exactly as received in email
  3. Click "Activate License" button
  4. Wait for confirmation - requires internet connection

Activation Problems

Double-check the license key for typos. Ensure you are copying the entire key including all characters. Contact support if the problem persists.
Check your internet connection. Temporarily disable firewall/antivirus and try again. If using corporate network, check if proxy settings are blocking the connection.

Common Errors

Error Messages and Solutions

This usually means the application cannot write to its data folder. Run Timer Pro as Administrator, or check that the userData folder has write permissions.
Check that no other application is blocking the display. Try selecting a different display in Settings. Restart Timer Pro if the problem continues.
Ensure Stream Deck software is running. Check that port 8089 is not blocked by firewall. Verify the WebSocket connection settings in Stream Deck plugin.
